The Marker
If science speaks for the logic, technology explains the invention, and art brings all the harmony,
architecture provides spaces that shapes them into who they are.
Therefore the marker is to shape its society, it is a symbol, a sign, a story that last in time, to not only speak for the image of a society, but more importantly, to tell its background, to enrich a harmonious relationship between its people, who comes from different culture with distinguished history, to serve its citizens with the functions of the architecture and benefits from the technology.

large platforms acting like stairs, provide a gathering space for the public, spiral staircases provides a fast-moving space from up to down, it connects the platforms to the pathway which acts as a bridge that connects the other side of the M7 road. A connection is provided to the society that people have the accessibility to gather and connect, which speaks for the connectedness of Blacktown's multicultural background.
The huge circle is the main part of the marker, it symbolizes the uniting of Blacktown public harmoniously. it is designed in an large scale so that it is noticeable for the local citizens as well as visitors who passes the M7. The pathway goes through the circle, thus people have a sense of engagement while walking through the architecture.
The public has an open view of the surroundings like the sports park, the stadium, etc.
The roof provides shelter, therefore it can be a gathering space for the public.
At night the marker will be lightened and emphasize the textures, the inspiration of the textures comes from the symbols or patterns in the Aboriginal culture, reflects Blacktown's history, addressing the Indigenous society.
