THE MASHUP OF THREE NEWS ARTICLES

An architectural can perform a multitude of functions: welcoming, embracing, connecting, and directing, which involves the use of distortions, curvature and gradients.

There is a continuous calligraphic and ornamental patterns from carpets to walls, walls to ceilings, ceilings to domes, establishing legibility in the face of complex interrelations, respectively in order to adapt a separation, a breakdown of the human adaptation of architecture, developing a firmly contemporary interpretation that  architecture is build to adapt human, while it can also be adapting to other buildings, letting the architecture grow like a plant, use the other building as its soil, therefore they embrace and enhance the life of each other, in other terms, an architecture can also be like a virus, which also grows, expands, colonize, through, upon or surround the other building.

However we tend to rebuild connections again, not only those of human with architecture, also those of architecture with architecture, we tend to articulate connections and transitions, to create a "language" for people to communicate with the place, to establish seamless relationships and to blur distinctions between architectural elements and the ground they inhabit,  therefore reflect a more nuanced understanding towards the sense of connectedness and spaces, in terms of relationships between the interior and the exterior; the private and the public, the light and the dark; the ornament and the function.

The intention is never to create an icon, but the architecture itself becomes an icon that is visually stimulating,  transporting and circulating.

EXP2 FINAL SUBMISSION: THE IMAGE CAPTURES AND ARCHITECTURE

The Marker

If science speaks for the logic, technology explains the invention, and art brings all the harmony,
architecture provides spaces that shapes them into who they are.
Therefore the marker is to shape its society, it is a symbol, a sign, a story that last in time, to not only speak for the image of a society, but more importantly, to tell its background, to enrich a harmonious relationship between its people, who comes from different culture with distinguished history, to serve its citizens with the functions of the architecture and benefits from the technology.

large platforms acting like stairs, provide a gathering space for the public, spiral staircases provides a fast-moving space from up to down, it connects the platforms to the pathway which acts as a bridge that connects the other side of the M7 road. A connection is provided to the society that people have the accessibility to gather and connect, which speaks for the connectedness of Blacktown's multicultural  background.

The huge circle is the main part of the marker, it symbolizes the uniting of Blacktown public harmoniously. it is designed in an large scale so that it is noticeable for the local citizens as well as visitors who passes the M7. The pathway goes through the circle, thus people have a sense of engagement while walking through the architecture.

The public has an open view of the surroundings like the sports park, the stadium, etc.
The roof provides shelter, therefore it can be a gathering space for the public.

At night the marker will be lightened and emphasize the textures, the inspiration of the textures comes from the symbols or patterns  in the Aboriginal culture, reflects Blacktown's history, addressing the Indigenous society.
